Record any load redundancies, which are the duplicative equipment, assets, or systems available to provide the critical load’s functionality in the event of failure. Redundancy for buildings is not considered in the TRN Lite, as having an unused duplicate building is highly unlikely. For critical loads of other types, the redundancy must not already be in use for other purposes and must be pre-installed and/or pre-configured to take over for the critical load. If the critical load is defined as a group of units of the same piece of equipment, the redundancy must be capable of fully replacing at least one of the units within the grouped critical load.
Characterize each load redundancy in terms of how long it takes to start-up and whether the load is configured to start automatically in response to a critical load failure.
